Independence Day

The Honourable jury, the honourable ladies and gentleman as well as my beloved friends. First of all I’d like to say thank you to Allah S.W.T for His blessing so we can together in this place. Shalawat and Salam due to our prophet Muhammad S.A.W, The last messenger of Allah S.W.T who has brought us from the darkness to the lightness.

            The honourable jury ,ladies and gentleman.

            This month, we will celebrate the sixty first of Indonesia proclamation of independence day. This independence is not a gift from the colonizers. But it is a result of Indonesian heroes struggle, such as, Teuku Umar, Patimura, K.H. Zaenal Mustofa, etc. By risking their life.

The honourable jury, ladies and gentleman.

            How meaningful their merits for us.  They struggle bravely and they never give up to the colonizers for about three and half centuriges. They want to free from colonial domination of japan and Netherlands. And as a sign of respect to our heroes, we should preserve and fill this independence by doing positive things, such as, study hard for students so we have bright future and we can make our country is better than before. Besides that, we have a duty to maintain this country in order that we are not colonized again.

            At the past, our heroes were struggle by using bamboo spear, they paid the independence by blood and soul. And now, we must still struggle not by bamboo spear but by pen. We should sharpen our thought and increase our faith, in order to free from kind of colonization both physical and mental colonization.

            For the last time , I want to ask you a question “ Do we have filled this independence as well as possible ? “ that’s all, thank you for your attention.
